Hello my name Is Luke Phillips. This is my website I built myself ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ. I made this website as a hub to share my art on that couldnt be taken down by any company, as well as a place to write and direct people to. I'm not really old enough to know anything about the indie web, or the start of the internet. But I thought the idea of it all was cool, as opposed to the way we use the internet today. Everyone having there own decentralized website to customize and share whatever they want uncensored. Free from the claws of big tech \(˚☐˚”)/ . Saying that I do still have social media tho...

I am an artist:) I like exploring and experimenting with my work taking interest in different mediums and styles. I love to create and I love to see other peoples creations (╭ರ_•́). I like to read, fiction, non-fiction, and comics/manga. and enjoy watching movies as well as more physical activities like lifting weights and certain sports (like bowling or wrestling ( •̀⤙•́ )). Most days I spend either attending college and doing homework, creating art, or visiting my girlfriend out of town. I think art is one of the most important aspects of human life, and being around it as well as making it can lead to a better day to day life. Art can also make us think and feel deeper than we normally would making for a life more lived, and thats the point imo ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧.
Ive had strep throat for like a whole weekend, stranding me in my home. Its the first time ive had strep throat and it sucks, swallowing and talking is painfull, my throat is all swelled like a lizard, and ive got a small fever. Its not all bad though ive been dealt lots of time to sleep and try my best to code this shitty website, along with other projects and schoolwork I should be doing. I have medicine and should be better soon, Goodbye for now.
I have a love hate relationships with still lifes. Sometimes I think theyre boring, sometimes theyre challenging and engaging art practice, sometimes I just cant get it right, and sometimes I just cant mentally justify putting that much effort into something so boring. I think I like drawing still lifes, or ordinary things, the most when its from life. Its like wow I might be the first person ever to see these objects arranged this way in with this lighting. Its more challenging drawing from life because your head moves and sometimes your subject moves(if its a person). Also the fact the objects youre drawing just happen to be arranged, lying in this way. Theres no intentional composition, balance, or dramatic lighting. Just draw and go:) till next time.
